Primary hosted a SDL day on 20th October 2016 based around the statement: “It is not imitating what you see, it is understanding what you see” said David Hockney.

The children spent the day creating artwork that explores this statement. Using their previously researched artwork of David Hockey, they experimented using a range of art techniques and completed several drafts based on self-evaluation and peer assessment. The results were amazing! Isla’s work, along with twelve other pupils, was rated as a winning masterpiece and is on display in an exhibition in the MAC for the month of January 2017.

Well done Isla!!
